Bagless WiFi-Connected Robot Vacuum

This bagless auto-vacuums wifi-connected robot has a minimalist, black design. Its price is comparable to high-end bagless smart sweepers robotic vacuums.

You can control the device using the physical Clean and Dock buttons on top and the SharkClean App, or with voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. It offers a wide range of smart features, such as home mapping and virtual no-go zones.

SharkClean is an app you can download to your smartphone to map your rooms. After mapping, the app lets you create an agenda for your robot to keep your home clean or select rooms to have the Matrix start an automatic bagless cleaning robots session. You can also set 'no go' zones like beds or closets that you don't want it to access.

The app lets you utilize the "spot cleaning" function at any time. You can select a dirty area on your floor map and the robot will clean that area automatically with multiple swipes on its cleaning pad. It does an excellent job of picking up everything from loose dog hair tumbleweeds to tiny bits of cut paper scattered from a recent crafting project.

When the Matrix completes its cleaning task, it will head back to its dock and empty itself into the bin. This is a very useful feature as it cuts down on the amount of maintenance you have to perform.

The robot's LIDAR mapping sensor is located just above. This may make it difficult to get under low-lying furniture like tables and sofas. This is a great choice for those who don't mind that it's a bit larger than other robots. Also, keep in mind that this model doesn't come with a HEPA filter like the other models on this list.

Precision Home Mapping

Precision home mapping combines 360deg. LiDAR vision with a precise homemap in the SharkClean App to allow fully autonomous movements and intelligent object avoidance. Powerful Suction

The RV2502AE is a reliable mid-range robot vacuum that can tick all the boxes. It's easy to use and produces precise home maps, and has an empty bag that self-empties. It is also cheaper to run than other robot vacuums.

It is loaded with power. It makes use of its side brushes to push carpet fibers and hair into the brushroll. This helps prevent the accumulation of dirt and clogging of the brushroll that is seen on other robotic vacuums and makes this one more efficient in removing pet hair.

Apart from its suction-boosting and self-emptying base, this robot comes with Matrix Clean Navigation for a comprehensive cleaning, Precision Home Mapping for object avoidance, a high-efficiency HEPA filter that can snare 99% of odors, allergens, and dust mites and two power modes for various floor types and a remote control that grants you full access to all its functions. It's a great option for most homes but its navigation capabilities could be problematic for some. Unlike other bump bots that are able to avoid stairs but this one was having trouble with stairs. It used LiDAR sensors and infrared to map my home however, it kept mistakenly identifying the cat condo as stairs and asked me if I wanted to move it. It also had a shorter time to run than advertised, with only 180 minutes.

Self-Empty Base

Some robots - like this one - come with self-emptying bases that can vacuum or dump the debris that is in the onboard dust bin into an external dirt bin to make maintenance easier. These are known as Clean Base Dirt Disposal (iRobot), Auto Empty Station (Ecovacs) or bagless suction vacuums Self-Emptying Base (Shark). They're a great convenience, but they can be a bit noisy and messy, also they usually require the use of special disposal bags.

This Shark model is equipped with an HEPA filtered bagless modern vacuum base. It has a massive capacity. It can hold debris for up to 60 days, and does not require daily emptying as other models.
